Getting Over It

Getting Over It is a browser-based platformer game that focuses on precise physics-driven movement and deliberate player control. You guide a character stuck inside a cauldron using only a hammer to climb steep terrain made of rocks, furniture, and narrow ledges. Every movement depends on mouse or touch input, forcing you to control momentum, angles, and timing with extreme care. The game punishes mistakes immediately, often sending you back large portions of progress with a single slip. There are no checkpoints or shortcuts, so advancement comes purely from mastery and patience. Progression relies on learning how surfaces react to the hammer and how small adjustments affect swings and pushes. The experience constantly tests persistence, frustration tolerance, and mechanical understanding. Games like Cluster Rush share the emphasis on precision and repeated failure as part of the core challenge.

How to Play

You start at the bottom of the map with a single objective: climb upward using only your hammer. You swing, hook, and push against surfaces to lift your character higher. Every movement requires careful control of momentum, as overextending or rushing causes falls. When you slip, the game does not protect your progress, and falling can undo minutes or hours of careful climbing. You learn through repetition, slowly understanding how different surfaces react to your hammer. Success comes from planning each movement, keeping calm after mistakes, and recovering from setbacks efficiently. There are no upgrades, abilities, or checkpoints to rely on. The only progression system is player skill. Finishing the game demands consistency, patience, and disciplined input control from start to finish.
