Paper Planets

Paper Planets is a browser-based game in the 2D action genre that focuses on defending a small planet from continuous enemy attacks. The player controls a rotating turret attached to the surface of a planet and must shoot incoming enemies before they collide with the core. Enemies approach from all directions, forcing constant movement and precise aiming. Each destroyed enemy increases the score, while missed shots or slow reactions allow threats to overwhelm the planet. The game gradually increases difficulty by introducing faster enemies and tighter attack patterns, pushing the player to improve accuracy and timing. The circular battlefield removes traditional movement, keeping attention on rotation control and target prioritization. Short sessions and instant restarts encourage repeated attempts, making progress depend entirely on skill improvement rather than upgrades or unlocks. The simple visual style keeps focus on mechanics, reactions, and score survival.

How to Play

The player starts with a turret positioned on a small planet at the center of the screen. Enemies spawn from the edges and move directly toward the planet. Rotate the turret continuously to face incoming threats and fire projectiles to destroy them before impact. Each enemy follows a direct path, so timing shots matters more than spraying randomly. As the game progresses, enemies appear faster and in larger numbers, forcing quicker rotations and sharper aim. Missing shots wastes time and allows enemies to close the distance. The session ends when an enemy reaches the planet. Restarting immediately allows another attempt with the same mechanics, making improvement purely skill-based. Success depends on reading enemy approach angles, rotating efficiently, and maintaining constant awareness of the entire screen.
